Beijing Olympic Games 2022 | Titles

On-air branded sting to introduce the special news coverage within the sports belt.

The brief was to keep the title generic, yet creatively interesting, I've chosen to make use of closeups and sounds.

I had the idea of drawing parallels between the shaping and refinement of ice sculptures to the training and becoming of an olympic athlete - both require total dedication, precision and stamina.

Playing with the sounds of ice and snow immediately recall within us the feeling of winter and movement.

The branding package also included artwork for the studio's digital screens and styling of on-air result templates.

Tokyo Olympics 2020 | Sting

On-Air branding, including sting and studio dressing for the sports coverage, of the delayed Olympic games that were hosted in 2021 in Tokyo, Japan.

The shapes of the icon like figures in the various disciplines were derived from dissecting and rearranging sections of the olympic rings while also referring to the sun symbol in the Japanese flag within the background.

This was my first exploration of using and amending Mixamo mocap data within Cinema 4D and skinning my own modeled characters to it.

Design and execution as an After Effects template using Essential Graphics for easy asset replacement in Premiere Pro.

For this promo I've expanded my skillset and taught myself the use of expressions to improve the UX of the promo template.

Employing scripted dynamic transition timings and text fields while making use of the essential graphic UI - text and footage entry fields as well as check boxes - to make versioning faster
and easier for the Promo Producers.

I've taken inspiration from the European Parliament logo to create an abstract environment mirroring election bar charts.

Title for short film 'Attack of the Invisible People'.

Written and produced in only 28 days by Andrew Harmer & Andrew Blackburn as part of the Oddball short film
challenge of Producer Johnny Oddball.

To keep in mind the budget and context of the film I've employed extreme close-ups of mixing various liquids
to give a feeling of contamination of the body which
is one of the theme s in this sci-fi movie.
